What you get

King of the Internet sells temporary display of your name, photo, decree and optional link on one of three seats on the front page. Your content appears as soon as your claim is approved, usually within seconds.

Your reign lasts until someone takes your seat. That can happen at any moment. When it does, you move down one seat, and off the Knight seat your reign joins the public archive.

Price and charges

Prices are in US dollars and shown before you confirm. The amount you offer is the total you are charged. Your card is first held, then charged only once your seat is yours. If your claim is refused by moderation or someone takes the seat before you, the hold is released and nothing is charged. In the rare case someone takes the seat in the seconds while your card is being charged, the full amount is refunded.

There are no refunds when you are outbid. That is how the game works. We refund a reign only when we removed it by mistake, or where the law requires it.

No prizes

You buy visibility and nothing else. There are no prizes, no cash value and no way to cash out. Nothing on this site is a lottery, contest or bet.

Who can claim

You must be 18 or older to claim a seat. You must own the rights to the photo you upload and have the consent of everyone who appears in it.

Your content

Your content must follow the rules of the court. We may refuse, hide or remove content and end a reign that breaks them, without a refund.

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the site, in the archive and in share images, and to feature past reigns in our own promotion.

Confirmation

After every charge we send a receipt to your email with your name, the seat, the amount and these terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The version in force when you claim a seat applies to that claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada. Nothing in them limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
